Crumbs #003 (01/26/2020)

Crumbs is a frequent personal check-in to record what I’ve been doing, reading, listening to, watching, playing, and writing. It’s not meant to be a formal blog post, or insightful, or useful in any way! It’s a personal drop to help me find my way back from time to time.

First week at work! It was great to get back into the swing of office life. I was a bit sick in the beginning of the week. Feeling better, but still a bit of head congestion.

Finally read Atomic Habits. It was okay. I think I learned about as much as I’ve learned reading blogs and watching TED Talks. Nothing revolutionary, but to someone uninitiated in habit formation and productivity, I think it’s a game-changer. Very well developed thesis and set of chapters.

Moved on to my next read: Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport.

Watched a ton of TV this week: Schitt’s Creek, Curb Your Enthusiasm (Lauren and I actually started re-watching from Episode 1,) Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Avenue Five (wasn’t a fan.)

Listened to a couple of records. Revisited Bright Eyes and the Kinks earlier in the week, and dug into CHON and Sithu Aye later on.

Did a ton of writing and released a Backlog Companion episode. Biggest challenge is getting to sleep early enough, and staying focus. (It’s an ongoing battle.)

Until next time.
